@KirstieMAllsopp As a GP I’m frequently asked to write sick notes to support continued home working. The irony is not lost on me given I went to work throughout the pandemic while nationally GPs received vile abuse from the very same people who are now weaponising us to suit their lifestyle.
@lorrainemking She probably was “nice”. Most psychopaths are very good at fitting in and mimicking normal social behaviours. Even the consultant who first suspected her said “(oh no!) not nice Lucy”
We all tend to give the benefit of the doubt as well
@MsGreatbatch Conflating causation and correlation but she’s probably right about the correlation.
The children who’s parents don’t read with them, who miss lots of school, who have learning difficulties will still have those disadvantages at gcse but it’s not the SATS that caused them.
@armaniep@NHS24 You can obtain an emergency supply of medication from your usual pharmacy if you have run out. You need to take evidence of your current prescriptions / medication.
@agw1437@megs1970@trussliz Evidence? The NHS actually measures well for efficiency (4th in a comparison of 11 healthcare systems). The NHS & Tourism were the only industries that contributed to a growth in GDP last year. Primary care is incredibly lean & delivers the vast majority of NHS care
@EstherMcVey1 I am a GP who is CONTRACTED to work 23 hours per week. I ACTUALLY work around around 30 hours per week which means 30% of my hours are unpaid. This is pretty typical of all the GPs I know. Give me decent working conditions and I’ll work more contracted hours. Simple.
@prodrive Dave Richards: Thanks for getting involved in the UK drive to produce ventilators in the fight against COVID-19. My father (Dick Mann) would be cheering you on. I'm now a GP with previous anaesthesia / ITU experience and also do human factors - happy to help in any way
@StevenShorrock Totally agree, I have done all I can for now in terms of preparedness. I realised today, after another bad night, I now need to look after myself, both mentally and physically.

Today everyone is reflecting on the closing of a decade & the beginning of the next. We can all do our bit to try to reduce our impact & we can show our support for government action on these issues. So make a resolution for 2020. #resolution2020 please share.
So proud to have been part of this. NHS staff supporting Resolution Song and coming together to take action on climate change. #resolution2020@Lewiscapaldi we'd love you to do a version!

@MattHancock Agree but this responsibility is on organisations not individuals. Clinicians, & sadly, ethnic minority clinicians disproportionately, face multiple jeopardy from even the most vexatious of complaints from disgruntled patients. For most the stress just isn't worth it.
