Not sure when I said that I was trying to justify spending $5000 on a ship.
I have not, and have no plans on spending $5000 on a ship. I think it is silly.
Like I said earlier, you don't care about the game, you care about the engagement.
We don't need to be protected by you.

I work hard for my money, have a house with a little land, a nice car, pay my bills, and have a little spare money... If I choose to spend that on a $5000 ship (which I wouldn't do) then who are you to protect me?

You think that not having to pay a little for insurance is Pay to win? So... All of our starter ships are pay to win, so what is the issue?

Again, the money required to even let these ships idle in the hangar for 20 minutes is more than an entire insurance claim for a starter ship lol. You keep ignoring this part.

Skilled players? A single skilled player cannot effectively run these giant ships solo. These are Org ships for large orgs.

Even with LTI, these ships are going to cost so much more to use just to fly across the system, let alone battle.

Ships with higher prices cost more to claim in game. In fact, claiming a ship (using a saved loadout) like the Odin will be STUPID high price in game. You have the base claim price that is based on ship value in game, and then you have to restock all the ammunitions. Claiming/restocking this ship will run upwards of 10M aUEC, where my starter ship full claim runs 25K

All ships have the free insurance claim but you lose all upgraded components, but restocking a bigger ship like that still going to set you back a metric ton.

I don't say this as an insult, but I think that there is a lot about this game and how it works (when it works lol) that you just don't understand. Yeah, they get an advantage by having an instant super-ship, but that has some serious disadvantages as well.

A whale can drop a ton of cash... But it doesn't make them good at using the ship or even handling the logistics involved in even flying it, keeping it fueled, keeping it stocked, let alone fighting in it.
