@geistgrail@JesseStojan@carllerche I don’t believe you know any C++ at all, like most Rust devs - you only used “JavaScript” or “Ruby” before. Rust is for web devs cosplaying as system programmers, none of you barely know anything, you probably don’t even know what a file descriptor is. Rust is a circus of morons
@timClicks You mean one of the most popular and important programming languages in the world? And there’s plenty of LGBT in the C++ world, including on the committee: Lisa Lippincott, Daisy Holman, and Sy brand among many others. As usual Rust devs don’t know the first thing about C++.
@aLioNinZion@BlayzeMadusa@FoxNews So the Greeks have a right to turkey because 1600 years ago there was the Byzantine empire there? Your historical argument is incoherent.
@_celestialss@DaveAngelSC2 If game review sites can’t even be consistent about what a 9/10 even means, then what’s the point of them? Independent reviewers can be as subjective as they want, but a game review site should be held to a higher standard where a “9/10” for example, is standardized site wide.
@oops4041555@HSVSphere Of course they’re shared libraries (to comply with their OSS terms), but we ship them. I don’t know what you’re doing wrong, but we use qt quick, qml, etc and our app is tiny. Compare that to an electron app. I mean, this is one of the reasons people choose qt over electron.
@rfleury@ashrealite Especially C++? What are you talking about - C++ has a tonne of compile time programming techniques: constexpr, consteval, templates etc - Our C++ codebase has a tonne of compile time invariants that fail the build if they’re false.
@oops4041555@HSVSphere wtf are you talking about about. We deploy a very sophisticated qt app and it’s tiny, especially when you compare to equivalent electron app
