Over 300,000 people die of drowning each year. In order to protect society, it is now illegal to consume or possess water.
Your government is also considering banning solid food, as it presents a needless choking hazard.
You are not an adult.
You are a baby.
Eat the baby food.
Ban @telegram because of the NEET paper leaks? Okay. Next up: banning dating apps because people use them to cheat on their partners. As the founder of @knotdating, surely you @jasveer10 agree there must be equal rules for all platforms! π«‘
Oh hello, @durov
Nobody is using Telegram in India for messaging. Telegram is mostly used by scammers in India. Most financial fraud (Billions of dollars) in India happens through Telegram
The Indian government should have banned Telegram years ago. It is long overdue.
Iβve been noticing the same pattern for years. Almost every fraudster immediately moves to Telegram. itβs harder to trace, easier to operate.
Calling this an internet freedom issue misses the point completely.
Telegram became one of the preferred platforms for financial fraud, scam networks, betting groups, piracy, and other illegal activities in India.
Can't wait for the government's next security protocol:
The current telegram ban for neet paper leaked is like If a bank gets robbed, just ban the highway the getaway car drove on. Leave the bank vault wide open, give the guard a nap, but strictly ban the asphalt!
Indiaβs IT ministry banned Telegram for one week because some users shared leaked exam questions.
This punishes 150M+ ordinary Telegram users in India β not the insiders who leaked the exam materials.
And the ban hasn't stopped anything. The leaks just moved to other apps.
Dear ministry of IT,
If scammers are using telegram to leak NEET Paper they must be using upi or other online payment to accept payments. Kindly issue ban on that too or the main reason behind every platform is internet, it's better ban internet till June 22
