Crafter, CAD Drafter, Baker, Wife, & Mom to Boy & Dog. Currently teaching myself how to code - Follow my progress here and on my freecodecamp page listed below!
@EscondidoPolice@SDSheriff Can’t understand the helicopter flying around Escondido right now. Where do you post what the helicopter announcements are? I’m having trouble finding the information.
D66-67: Watching Wes Bos explain selecting elements in the DOM. Chipping away at studying as often as I can. Its definitely a struggle with working full time and having a 6 month old.

@jessbudd4 @stringy@swyx@mellowbeing Currently have a 6 month old and working full time, and so glad to have a supportive partner too! I see you're a front end dev and accessibility consultant - I'm super interested in learning about accessibility. Have any recommendations on how to get started?
@the_real_stacie@swyx Ugh... I needed to hear this. I feel like I'm moving too slow to make real progress. But moving at all is progress in itself... just need to hang in there.
@BekahHW @bvlktech @swyx@JesseRWeigel@Phillylosophy Hi Bekah, I'm also a working mom trying to teach myself to code and I would be very interested in the Moms-in-Tech slack group. Would I be able to get an invite?
@ChristinHebron Currently learning through freeCodeCamp, and supplementing with Frontend Masters, Google, Code Wars, YouTube, and local meetups. I know some folks that are programmers, so I also have human resources if I get stuck which is helpful. What about you?
@ChristinHebron I also currently have a job I enjoy and is stable. But the potential benefits and opportunities of a career as a Dev are calling... and these possibilities just don't exist in my current career path.
D57: Promises, Promises! Almost done with the ES6 freecodecamp section. Still not totally grasping all the concepts - but I'm going to push through and eventually it will click. Right? RIGHT??
