@inkribboned I was thinking this too. I can’t recall seeing any red lights like that in the apartment building, and I swear that background looks darker as well, but maybe I’m just coping.
There’s an Umbrella facility in the background at the start of the trailer, so I hope it’s a fake-out.
Zombies of Rockfort Island
Prisoners and guards who have been infected with the T-Virus. They tend to move in hordes, unlike the more isolated zombies seen during the Raccoon City Incident.

Claire Redfield
A college student and survivor of the Raccoon City Incident who travels to France in search of her brother, Chris. Instead, she is captured by an Umbrella special forces unit and imprisoned on Rockfort Island.

The original game:
Resident Evil Code: Veronica is known for its sibling leads Claire and Chris Redfield, and a story driven by love, hate, and madness.
Its cinematic stages, expanded exploration, and dual protagonists helped make it a fan favorite that still resonates today.
@ghoulhag Exactly, and this is why Claire’s face in the CVR looks different. That, and Capcom probably wanted to make her look more mature and hardened after the Raccoon City incident.
The story so far:
3 months after the Raccoon City disaster, Claire Redfield is captured by Umbrella while in search of her brother Chris, and taken to the remote Rockfort Island, where she must make a desperate attempt to escape a living hellscape of survival horror.

@SurvivorNo0322 This! I haven’t played OG2 as I only have an Xbox, and OG 1-3 aren’t available on Xbox rn. But I replayed RE2R with the soundtrack from OG2, and it made it so much better.
@ManMustasaman@AestheticGamer1 If it’s her, she’s only silent because Capcom haven’t officially announced it.
The same thing happened with Nick with Requiem. Leon was revealed in December 2025, but Capcom didn’t officially confirm it was Nick returning until the week before the game was released.
