@ThrillaRilla369 Nope. My experiences with previous partners showed me how important it is to earn my own money. I would also want that my partner to take care of the kids and cook and do some homemaking too. Why are men never asked this question?
@KitsuneroVT@HardwareSteam Have you tried casting to your livingroom TV? That's what I do and it works perfectly. I have an Apple TV and there is a Steam Cast app in the store. Install, link Steam, link your controller and enjoy!
@HardwareSteam I bought the controller and was thinking about getting the Steam Machine too, although I have a decent PC and a PlayStation 5... but the price made me rethink my decision. Gonna pass for now.
@xHanGisx It's more than that: this prize was called "Prince of Asturias" until this last Royal Family. For the first time in history we have a Princess of Asturias, who will then become Queen of Spain herself, not by marrying the king. I am not a fan of royalty, but I find it cool.
According to the history referenced in Dune, humanity once relied heavily on advanced computers and artificial intelligence.
Over time, power concentrated in the hands of those who controlled the machines. This led to oppression and a loss of human autonomy. The revolt that followed destroyed the machines and produced a lasting religious and cultural prohibition.
The commandment from the Orange Catholic Bible sums it up: “Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind.”
As a result, any device that imitates or replaces human cognition is forbidden. Instead of computers, humans trained themselves to fill those roles. Mentats perform complex calculations and data analysis. The Bene Gesserit refine mental and physical control to extraordinary levels. The Spacing Guild Navigators use prescience, enhanced by spice, to plot safe faster than light travel routes that a computer would otherwise calculate.
Herbert was concerned about dependence on systems that centralize power and reduce human responsibility. In the world of Dune, banning thinking machines forces humanity to develop its own latent abilities rather than surrender decision making to technology.

"Every phone, even when the screen is off you think it's doing nothing, but it's screaming 'Here I am'."
"They can see everything about you. They can see everything about what your device is doing, and they can do whatever they want with your device."
