@nntaleb Beautiful and diverse collection! Would you be willing to share more close-up photos so we can see which books have passed your "Lindy filter"?
@thetrueaesthete@YanHeCUL Found some volumes of the Adages online (Toronto Press) but the format felt odd – just proverbs with vague (translator’s?) explanations? Montaigne’s essays had a statement and arguments to justify his point. Were the original Adages structured differently?
@thetrueaesthete@YanHeCUL Erasmus comes highly recommended among many thinkers, but his books are quite difficult to get where I am. Which books have you read?
@PaulSkallas What’s worse, Italians are so proud of their coffee and devoted to the notion that “Italian coffee is the best” that they will go out of their way to start a heated argument with someone who disagrees.
Their “artisanal” coffee is just imported Lavazza that is way below average.
@traumaticum Hey doc!
Did you train an AI model to achieve a consistent visual style? Or does the default NanoBanana Pro model achieve such results when a proper prompt is used?
P.S. Have you tried this tool for “smaller surgeries”? I experimented with a few ophtho surgical photos.
@dieworkwear @arjmsn What would you recommend for doctors? We need to carry a lot of things to work (stethoscope, documents, food, water bottle, etc.) but still look elegant on our way to the hospital.
@nntaleb How would you recommend approaching statistics for MDs? Any literature suggestions to build a good foundation?
Your books and tweets have helped a lot in detecting “BS” statistics, but I feel more technical knowledge is required to start cunducting studies myself.
