Young White men have been society's punching bag for my entire life. We are the only identity group that everyone is permitted to mock, insult, denigrate, and discriminate against in both the public and private sector.

We are similtaneously the root of all the world's ills, possessing hegemonic power we unjustly obtained, and also welfare leeches holding back the rest of society from progressing into the future. We are similtaneously the bottom rung of society, holding everyone back, and the evil overlords tyrannizing women and minorities.

There is almost no one who takes our side. Even our own politicians, whom we elect to office, treat us like trash because they know that running ads like this would be unacceptable if they depicted the accurate demographic makeup of those who actually soak up welfare.

We are loathed everywhere and by everyone. We have been driven out of the universities, out of the workforce, out of elite institutions, out of government, out of relationships, marriages, and families, and increasingly out of our own country.

I could easily ask, "What did we do to deserve this?" but if you're a young White man, you already know the reason. We are hated for who our ancestors were, who we are, and who we can become.

We are the last hope of a civilization hell-bent on committing suicide, and unless we recognize this fact, band together, and act accordingly, we will continue to become hated strangers in our own country.

Normally young white men being the universally approved punching bag wouldn’t matter. We don’t really take it too personally that every group of people in the world has a bone to pick with us.

But the problem with the anti-gamer ad is that depicting us specifically as unemployed losers — rather than evil rapist Nazi serial killer abuser war criminal, you know, “the hits” — is going to hit a nerve because young white men actually aren’t doing well right now.

While literally every group of people aside from us has had their respective status explained by “socioeconomic factors,” which themselves are said to be our fault, we don’t get that luxury. Moreover, it actually isn’t our fault that we aren’t doing well.

We are actually the only group of people who are held down as a matter of policy and widely-held societal attitudes that we deserve it.

All we want is the boot taken off our necks. We would opt for blind aptitude tests for jobs/positions — no other group would. That tells you the whole story.

Everyone wants to stand atop their artificially created “status” and punch down, and it’s because they’re insecure in knowing that it is indeed artificial, and created precisely to produce the outcomes we’re seeing.

This Republican ad calling out welfare leeches uses a young white male named "Brad" as the villain. Meanwhile, back in reality, women are significantly more likely to be on welfare than men. And black people are astronomically more likely to be on welfare than white people. So the number of single young white male "Brads" abusing the welfare system is minuscule. Practically non-existent. But of course Republicans don't have the balls to do this ad with "Shaniqua" as the villain. Even though that would actually be an accurate portrayal of the problem at hand.

The Vivek issue is much larger than just Ohio. His victory or defeat will signal and mean so much to the parties involved. I think a vivek victory would be a larger net negative than a commie governor who can be almost kept in check by a hostile legislature.
But the anger should be at the party establishment for forcing that choice on the voters to begin with.
