Earlier today on the #GoldMountainFire a K-Max Helicopter from “Helicopter Express” went down today at the Silver Jack Reservoir, Gunnison County, Colorado and Tragically the Pilot lost his life from this Crash that Occurred.

Aerial Firefighting is a Dangerous job, Unfortunate to see this happen, the pilots identity has not been Released yet.

Tanker 136 and 138 on the Claremont Fire. 🔥

136 made one trip back to Dutch Flat from Battle Mountain, then flew 7 loads to Claremont, 5 miles north of Boise, overnighting in Boise.

138 delivered 4 loads to the incident.

ASPEN ACRES FIRE, RYE/COLORADO CITY SIDE: Fire has grown to more than 74,000 acre. It is the 8th largest in state history. Rye and Colorado City have been evacuated. Multiple communities are impacted by this fire. Fire crews from all over the U.S. are here to fight this. @KOAA
