A special person & friend, Randy Davis, my pitching coach @LSUbaseball, passed away recently. His son Will just had a son & named him Crash. What a name!!! Way to go Will & Danielle, I know William Randall Davis I is proud. (Randy & I are bottom right heading to our 1st CWS)
We laid Dad to rest today. The amount of messages received were overwhelming. I tried to respond to as many as possible but wanted to say thank you to everyone.
To know your father made such an impact on so many lives is an indescribable feeling amidst the feeling of loss.
First met Randy Davis when I attended the @LSUbaseball Skip Bertman camp in late 80s….he headed up my recruitment at LSU and is where I learned the art of “story telling” as he was one of the best. Prayers for the Davis family & LSU baseball alumni late 80s/early 90s are hurting
Learned a lot about coaching from this LEGEND. Had many lunches/dinners over at his house as a young coach, where I learned more than he will ever know, I will be forever grateful. I’m sure he’s telling someone in Heaven a Skip Bertman story right now. @codyd44@WillDavis44
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of Randy Davis, who served on Lou St. Amant’s NLU coaching staff from 1985-87 and later became head coach at LA Tech.
Prayers for the family of Randy Davis, LSU asst. pitching coach under Skip Bertman from 1988-90 who worked with some of the greatest pitchers in college baseball history. Known as "CD" by the Tigers, he leaves a lasting impact upon the LSU Baseball Legacy. Rest in Peace #44!
