I’d like to apologize to the community as a whole. I failed fulfilling a commission, because I let my emotions in a time of grief “take the wheel”. I messed it up…plain and simple.
That being said…I should have handled this privately. I’m sorry.
@GildedPardus@heinousdesires Again, I have rectified the situation properly with my former client. Wish them well.
And again, you’re the one that said I’ve intentionally done this before out of “malice”, so show us.
Fighting for something that means the world to me atp…not you
@GildedPardus@heinousdesires You’re pushing a narrative that doesn’t and has never existed. Have never been one to pay that much attention to “follows” either way.
Regardless, I appreciate the compliment on the initial airbrushing.
Commissioners??
@minknip@kocharaptor It’s simply NOT a lie. I explained this very tidbit in my apology. It’s not in my nature or soul to tell anyone who or what they are. Their screen name in deposit method literally says …” girl “ in it.
@minknip@kocharaptor The “misgendering” was based on their profile name on deposit method…Believed the entire time I was creating a male character for a female client.
@kocharaptor@minknip ABSOLUTELY!!! Lesson learned. I’ve had a couple I was like, “oh…can’t sell the hyena lol (still in the closet til rn)…the “Monster Dog”???!! (Can’t figure out who I effing “cooked” outside of that)…
@Jarebea89675150@BriannaBoonanaV Are you insinuating that makers come out of their own pockets for materials on a commission??? That’s the bully mentality that hurts ALL of us, big or small. I’m not even looking for sympathy…period. I felt like responding to comments was necessary atp
@Bracken_Bat Thanks. Yeah, just think I need to go back to the artistic side of it for a while…I’d actually look forward and set goals for myself what I wanted to achieve on a project post day job. 1 failed commission thus far, but love this as a hobby!!
@wolfbuckstudios@NU_M00N@GATORSPOTS I can’t respond to everyone, but yes, I haven’t loved every project. I owned up, refunded and just trying to move on now. I would have preferred re-furring the head, with maybe a few tweaks, but ultimately, I made my bed and have to lie in it
@bamboosaber@wilderwildd Nah…It was overcooked. I tried the removal methods. No bueno. Completely stripped it. Guess no that it’s “mine”, I get to see what comes of it ultimately.
@heinousdesires@GildedPardus I really don’t know that I did…I was like, I like it better now, but will they?? I’ve learned two important things from this commission…taking certain levels of complexity in design on, commission based anyway, not my cup of tea. 2: too many colors aren’t in my wheelhouse yet.
@HEU_RBB@2amBeef We weighed options moving forward. I should have offered to re-fur the head straight away, which I failed to do, and will eventually do anyway.
@kocharaptor@minknip Honestly, I knew they seemed to be happy with the progress, but didn’t realize they liked it as much as they did just the way it was. I stared at that head everyday for months thinking it was missing something, or that the color palette was askew…lesson learned.
@Bracken_Bat I appreciate that. Yeah, I didn’t feel “good” at it until recent years. I could’ve redone it, but that’s not what Wild wanted at that point…fully understand. It’s a hard pill to swallow making an eff up this big, but had to man up.
@NU_M00N I agree. I’m trying to own up to my mistake. I fully refunded them their deposit within two days of them requesting, along with a proper private apology.
