[🔴]BREAKING:

WWE will be hosting two shows that night with a Smackdown taping after Raw.

The current plan is for talent to travel to Saudi Arabia to proceed that weekend, meaning there are no changes to that week’s television schedule at this time

(@WrestleVotes X @Fightful)

[Finesse @ProWFinesse]

Cody Rhodes' matches are so much better without shenanigans.

I think that's what he mainly needs to return to.

WWE is about to cause an international incident what the fuck are we doing

“I think the cost of being me, in a weird way, is not fully knowing who I am.”

CVV asks Cody another heavy hitter: ‘What’s the cost of being Cody Rhodes?’

R H O D E S vs A L D I S II

📍 Nashville, Tennessee

On this day, 8 years ago, Cody Rhodes and Nick Aldis faced off again for only the second time, after their historic first encounter 2 months prior at All IN, where Cody won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. He would end up dropping it to Nick here in Nashville at the NWA 70th Anniversary Show. In an interview with CVV prior to SummerSlam this year, Nick called it THE match he would ask fans to watch when looking back on his career.

“I would say probably the rematch with Cody, NWA 70. The two-out-of-three falls in Nashville. It’s a really complete sort of story, and I thought we worked tremendously hard. The first fall is wrestling, very much wrestling, and then the second fall is sort of brawling out on the floor, and then the third fall is bombs away. Big finishing moves, kick out.

So it’s sort of like you get a little bit of all three, and there’s some angle in there too. There’s some stuff with Kamille and Brandi. There’s a bit of sports entertainment. We have all the luminaries at the beginning. We have Dory Funk and some former champions and stuff like that. So I think the whole thing’s just a sort of fun, really good sort of pro wrestling main event feel to it, and it’s a good commentary too. Tony Schiavone and Jim Cornette are calling it, and I thought that was really good too because they all bounced off each other well. When you have guys like Schiavone and Cornette, it’s always going to take your stuff up another level.”
