As usual, I will give out commentary, as best as I can, but I am still learning this age group.
The early returns look great with 2011.
The combined Central/South regional camp is Thursday-Sunday in Houston. It’s 80 players. I’ve heard some names here or there, but have yet to receive the full list who’ll compete there.
I presume we’ll see 20/20/20 from each region to make up the 60 that make the first National Camp.
Here are my locks from the first two regions. Have seen 22 of these 26, and then 4 I’ve heard enough good things that I trust they belong.
East (11): Maxwell Camara, Caleb Chabala, Isaiah Fabunmi, Nathan Decastro, Zach Lapierre, Cosimo Tristani, Luan Silva, Edgar Moreno, Champ Holder, Santi Suarez, Ezra Rosser
West (15): Reggie Bailey, Josh Engel, Xavi Garcia, Jeffrey Lara, Wilson Mazariegos, Thomas White, Kash Held, Jaethan Irwin, Carson Starrett, Ryan Tamm, Wes Wolfley, Grant Choi, Jude Larbi, Levi Welch, Oliver Rowan
Other spots I’m willing to reserve judgement, as I admit I have yet to see all the players who make the regional camps and know very little/nothing about some of these players.
There are really only like 1 or 2 not called in for first two regionals I’ve seen play so far that I would’ve liked to see included. They tend to have the best 240 in the country right. We’ll see how that goes when they cut down to 60.
