@distinctxdesign@JoshuaBarzon Beautiful picture. The long exposure captures the mood at night perfectly. They've really done a good job with downtown over the years.
@NitePov His mistake wasn't raising the price, but being brazen with the increase. Slow compounding increases would have saved him and given competitors time to enter establishing the new prices. Also, governments love to collect "evidence" but not act for either favors or revenge.
@drayinvests You stated some of the reasons above.
Trailing PE of 14.6 and Fwd PE of 16.5 from latest stats. That's roughly a 12% decline in EPS. Not good for the price. Additionally, higher interest rates affect the discount rate, effectively shortening the window of investor patience.
@oldyzach Loved this game on the PC in 1986. Had a poster on my bedroom wall to make notes on exploration. Predecessor to No Man's Sky for procedural generation. On just 2 floppy disks you could explore 800 or so planets for resources, artifacts and documents for the story.
@sciencegirl Sportsbooks can also invalidate a bet they don't like if it's going to break them (mispriced bet).
CFTC Bet Exchanges have no skin in the game, they've already been paid (entry fee) to administer the bet. Poor wording can break a bet but never a mispriced bet.
@cmsinvests After losses (2016 to 2025), the PE is recovering from N/A to near infinity (Price / small EPS). Every company in the past when it's recovered from a loss (Apple, Netflix, etc..) has a huge PE when they switch to positive EPS. It takes a couple of quarters to normalize to peers.
@JesseTinsley Wow, people being shitty no matter the race or gender. Who would have thought? And believing / justifying their actions to be on the "right" side of history. The only thing left is when normalization happens, we get to hear the cry of "I was just following orders!"
