Why is being fat considered cute for every other species but humans?
Fat bee? Yes please
Fat baby hippo? Will kill for her.

Woman of the Day astrophysicist Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin born OTD 1900 in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, whose 1925 doctoral thesis was rubbished by Princeton astrophysicist Henry Norris Russell for proposing that stars were primarily composed of hydrogen and helium. Four years later, she was vindicated.
Cecilia attended a girls’ school in Paddington where the teaching of mathematics and science was rudimentary. She changed schools and was urged by the music teacher, Gustav Holst, to study music but science was her real focus. She won a scholarship to Newnham College, Cambridge, where a lecture about the stars near a solar eclipse changed her life: "The result was a complete transformation of my world picture."
Cambridge did not grant degrees to women until 1948 and Cecilia realised that her only career option in the UK was to become a teacher, so she moved to the US for a fellowship programme at the Harvard College Observatory.
She taught several astronomy courses but her contribution went unlisted in the course catalogues and she was paid less. She walked into her lecture halls to whistles and the stamping of men’s feet but she endured the hostility because she was devoted to learning.
In 1925, Cecilia became the first person to earn a PhD in astronomy from Radcliffe College at Harvard University. Her thesis took months - “almost a year as I remember it, of utter bewilderment” - of painstaking research from which she inferred the temperature and chemical content of the stars more precisely than anyone had ever done before. She found that hydrogen was the most prevalent element in a star by a long way, with mere traces of heavier elements like iron. This was revolutionary and contradicted established theory. Until 1925, astronomers took the presence of heavier elements in the Sun as evidence that the Sun was similar in constitution to the Earth.
Russell dissuaded her from pursuing her theory but four years later, he derived the same results by different means and bestowed on her a fleeting mention in his published paper. The ratio for hydrogen and helium in the Milky Way Galaxy has since been established as ~74% and ~24%. Cecilia was right. He was credited for the conclusions that she reached.
Women were barred then from becoming professors at Harvard so Cecilia worked as a lowly paid technical assistant instead. It took 30 years for her achievements to be recognised but Cecilia became the first woman to be promoted to full professor from within the faculty at Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences and she later became the first woman to head a department at Harvard.
“I had given in to Authority when I believed I was right. That is another example of How Not To Do Research. I note it here as a warning to the young. If you are sure of your facts, you should defend your position.”
🔥Have we lost our damn minds? Biden's Title IX revisions, allowing men to play pretend in women & girls athletics, are going to radically undermine female sports.
I will not stop fighting to protect my daughters from crazy woke identity schemes.
I am mama bear...hear me roar🐻💪🏽
Having a drag queen taunting me with his nasty fake breasts is so incredibly tone deaf considering they’re protesting my experience getting my breasts chopped off. Really helps their case…
1/ Sixteen psychoanalytic concepts for our time (updated) 🧵
Splitting: Perceiving others in black-and-white categories; seeing them as one-dimensional, as all good or all bad
Abigail Martinez, a California mother, had her child taken away from her by CPS because she would not let her teenage daughter transition and become sterile. She was taken by the government and they let her transition.
The mother claims that the school's LGBTQ+ Club indoctrinated her into believing she was a boy. Her cross-sex identity was hidden from the parents and kept secret at school. Her daughter wound up committing suicide shortly after.
This is just one of many tragedies resulting from radical gender ideology infiltrating the education system. And it's only going to get worse until people wake up to the corruption.
It was shocking when I first realised that the standard response to women voicing our concerns, fears and resistance to trans and gender in the 'Progressive West' echoed the attitude to women in regressive countries.
- They ignore us
- They disregard what we have to say
- They dismiss our concerns
- They ridicule our fears
- They lie about us
- They misrepresent what we say
- They abuse us
- They assault us
- They silence us
- They threaten to rape and murder us
- They ignore our long history of violence and oppression at the hands of men
- They try to hide their agenda from us
- They take credit for our work
- They revise history to delete our contributions
- They laugh at us
- They try to placate and distract us
I'm no longer shocked.
But I am saddened.
Because I can never unsee the contempt that women are held in by large sections of society, and that fills me with fear for the women who come after.
It's a never ending reality for women and I hope this demonstration of contempt for all women is never forgotten.
Today, women will be talking about sex in @VicParliament
We stand up because we know many can’t
Women’s sex-based rights have been erased in Australia
Now any man can be a woman, a Lesbian & enter female only spaces
#LetWomenSpeak#AdultHumanFemale
No government has the right to give men bits of paper which allow them to override the boundaries and consent of women and girls.
#RepealTheGRA; it is sexist, misogynistic, flawed legislation from which all gender identity ideology's abuses of women and girls flows.
Men who have no interest in making women uncomfortable & scared don’t even have to be told not to go into female-only spaces, so don’t be shocked when we come to conclusions about you when you’re a man who won’t leave a female-only space.
So where have all the paedophiles gone?
What social movement could they possibly be hiding within that encourages children to disassociate themselves from their "cruel" families & make links with stranger adults? One which encourages children's bodily autonomy/consent?
Hmmmmm

A few years ago I visited a ‘transwoman’ in hospital (UCL) after he’d broken his hip. At least 6’2”, deep voice. He was on a small women’s ward.
This is before I’d peaked, and I was just there to see if he was OK. I didn’t question him being on the women’s ward, although I never thought of him as an actual woman.
It was a small ward, I think there were 8 beds. He was right on the edge where the corridor was and there were lots of people walking past. My first thought was “He should be near the window, he’ll be safer” as he was so obviously a bloke and I thought that made him vulnerable.
That’s all I thought about at the time - I never about how the women on that ward might have felt. When I noticed the woman in the bed opposite looking uncomfortable I just dismissed her as a ‘bigot’.
Two other friends came to visit, both men who thought they were women, one also being very tall and just… very male. I do remember thinking at the time it was all a bit of a bizarre display, but didn’t dwell on it too much.
The woman opposite then got a visitor. She still looked uncomfortable, and the friend closed the curtain around the bed. Again, I never even entertained how she might have felt, all she got from me was some casual disdain.
Would she have put a complaint in about wanting women-only wards? Who knows. How many would? No complaints doesn’t mean ‘no problem’. No complaints doesn’t mean women don’t deserve single-sex spaces, or that they should have to even justify having access to them.
PS: The guy then showed me some cock shots on his phone. He had a date for his castration and penile inversion surgery lined up and had taken pictures in crotchless lingerie. “I’m gonna take the exact same pictures after, so I’ll have before and after shots.”
Once he’d had that surgery he changed his Facebook name to a play on words on ‘vagina’ and would post pictures of his dilators. He couldn’t wait to work up to the biggest size, he said.
I had never heard of AGPs at the time, just thought it was a bit odd and brushed it aside.
So… a bloke on the women’s ward was showing his visitor cock shots. At least one woman was visibly uncomfortable with him being there.
I very much welcome the new single-sex policy. Every time people argue against it, like Whittle here, they’re just looking at women with the same disdain I had for that woman a few years ago. Unfortunately, it’s the easy thing to do. Some people call me bigoted now, but I was bigoted then.
