@glumDumpst3r My mother-in-law did this and found out that my husband and I shared the same grandfather from around 1720. He had two daughters from which our tree branches. I felt very weird about it for awhile.
.@rep_stevewomack The 1835 Treaty of New Echota guaranteed @CherokeeNation the right to send a delegate to the U.S. Congress. It's time to honor that promise. I urge you to seat the Cherokee Nation’s delegate, Kim Teehee, in the U.S. House of Representatives. #CherokeeDelegate
@TheFreshMarket You are losing Christmas sales based on my Facebook post. After I explained our story people have commented that they were considering using you for Christmas and now they are planning on going elsewhere. Still haven’t heard from your “care team”. 9 hr prep time.
@TheFreshMarket I picked up my FULLY cooked meal last night from the Rogers, AR store. My turkey is STILL frozen. The store manager said to run it under water for an hour. I will be sending you my water bill. #falseadvertizing

Government officials/businesses: We can't make that building accessible, it's 35 years old.
Me: Remember the Alamo
If they can make a centuries-old mission and war memorial site accessible, you can make your 1980s building accessible. #AbledsAreWeird#YouMightBeAbleistIf
Something I'm realizing about #privilege & advocating for equality: it's unfair to expect people to "get it." I think anyone is capable of empathy and logical understanding, but asking them to get you is an unrealistic expectation. Both parties leave frustrated & alienated. 1/6
