If you read Kripkie's original pitch for Supernatural (and the Pilot script) there is a GLARING hole where the "gothic horror" should be. Listening to anything Sera says about her contributions in the writers room it becomes very obvious that aspect came from her.

It's wild that a fandom twitter with a checkmark will just say the most untrue, unverified version of events, insult one of the head writers of a show they claim to like, then post it like it's fact.

when writer Sera Gamble took over as showrunner during Seasons 6 and 7, not only did her writing suffer, but she was the one who fired Misha Collins, who was gone for a good chunk of Season 7 until he was hired back. Apparently at the comic con at that time when she evaded questions about his employment, Jensen got really aggravated.

Sera Gamble is genuinely one of the best writers this show has EVER had and her rightly identifying that a character has run its course isn't her writing suffering. It's her continuing to be one of the best writers on the show.

Sera was one of the best writers on the show. She gave us Soulless Sam. And she was smart enough to see that there was nothing compelling left to do with Castiel's character, and she was right. Castiel comes back as a nerfed simp, who brings boring angel storylines with him.

also if you're going to hate gamble for s6 & s7 you should 1) actually read what she said about the reasoning for her decisions and 2) remember that both edlund and kripke are credited as "hard at work on the seventh cycle" and as members of the writer's room
