@Paul082_ Real history. Real emotion. Some stories deserve to live forever. I’ve never been this confident in a token this early. $Buddy is different. ❤️
In the beginning , there was Buddy.
Story starting all the way in March 2013 at the Bitcointalk forums, there was a dog called Buddy who needed a heart surgery.
A real fight, a real story.
Later, in 2014 in the Bitcoin chain there was etched as a memorial: "Buddy is the best dog in the world".
Before memes, before dogecoin.

It's not too good to be true.
It's a part of history.

The Legend of Buddy
This is a story about Buddy. In October 2013, a Bitcointalk user named icicle launched a desperate public campaign to save a real shelter dog named Buddy. Buddy had a severe heart blockage and needed an expensive heart surgery. The man had 52 BTC locked on the Intersango exchange that he intended to use for the surgery. He posted repeatedly, shared a video of the dog, and used the signature “Help me save Buddy!” The main thread, titled “Buddy wants his Bitcoins”, remains visible today.
Later, on May 9, 2014, in Bitcoin block 299,825, this message was permanently written via OP_RETURN: “Buddy is the best dog in the world.”

Before Dogecoin became culture.
Before animal memes ruled crypto.
A real dog. A real fight.
A permanent on-chain memorial.
Buddy was not invented.
He was remembered.
Whether Buddy survived the surgery or not, is still to this day, a mystery.
But two things are still for sure:
Bitcoin is still to this day changing the world and peoples lives. And Buddy is the best dog in the world.
