Customers are asking AI what to buy, which companies to trust, and which products fit their needs. Our co-founder and CEO Deniz Ozcan (@deniz_o_) spoke with FoundersPress about how AI assistants are becoming the new front door to the internet, and how Cognizo is rebuilding marketing around that shift.
Thank you to Nima Olumi and @FoundersPress for sharing our story.

Getting results in AI search doesn't have to be complicated.
See where you stand โ Know exactly what to do โ Let agents get it done
No dashboards to decode. No 40-item to-do lists. Just ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐ ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, handled.
That's how Opal got to 30x AI search visibility.
At Cognizo, we believe marketing for AI should be simple. See where you stand, know what to do, and get it done. That's what the product has always been for, but today it got a lot simpler.
Open the app and the first thing you see is no longer a chart. Itโs your action hub: a prioritized plan for the week, and the work your agents already have in motion.
๐น Plan for the week. A ranked list of moves worth making right now: the page to write, the technical issue to fix, the site to get mentioned on. Generate, snooze, or dismiss in a click.
๐น The why behind every action. Every recommendation shows the data that earned its spot: which prompts it targets, the search volume behind them, which formats AI is citing, whoโs winning them today, and how long itโs been waiting. You never act on a black box.
๐น Agents that do the work. Approve any recommendation and an agent takes it from there: researches it, does the work, brings it back for your review. You decide, they execute.
๐น One queue for everything in motion. What agents are working on, whatโs ready for your sign-off, what already shipped. All in one place.
Cognizo has always shown you what to do about your AI visibility and let agents do it for you. Now it takes fewer clicks to get there.
Live now for all customers.
Cognizo is now an official Connector in Claude's directory
Search โCognizoโ inside Claude, connect in one click, and your visibility data is right there in the conversation.
๐น Same data, less friction: Ask, โWhich domains cite our competitors but not us?โ and get the answer from live Cognizo data.
๐น Discoverable by anyone on your team: Any teammate can find it in the directory and connect it themselves.
๐น Everything you can do on Cognizo: Citation gap reports, prompt coverage audits, competitor tracking, content briefs, all of it.
๐น Included on every plan: All customers get it with the same access.
How to connect: Claude โ Settings โ Connectors โ Search โCognizoโ

๐ Cognizo MCP is now live for all customers
Let agents use your visibility data. Power your workflows from wherever your team works. You can now plug our data into Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, Zapier, and more.
๐น Ask, don't export โ Query your visibility data in plain language from Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini. "Which domains cite our competitors but not us?" gets an answer from live data. No dashboard, no CSV.
๐น Power your agent workflows โ Purpose-built tools pull a prompt coverage audit, citation gap report or full competitive analysis in a single call. A scheduled agent can grab the numbers, draft the update, and flag what changed before anyone opens a tab.
๐น Turn citation gaps into published content โ Find the gap, generate the brief, write the article, and publish through the CMS your stack already connects to. One workflow, start to finish.
๐น Manage Cognizo without opening Cognizo โ Agents can create brands, bulk-add prompts, track new competitors, and spin up content briefs. Your whole Cognizo workspace, operable from wherever you work.
๐น Automate the reports you send every week โ Pipe your data into Slack, Sheets, Looker, or a live dashboard. Set it up once and never rebuild the Monday report again.
Most AEO tools show you your data. Cognizo puts it to work: your full workspace, from citations to competitors to content briefs, open to every agent and workflow you run. Included on every plan, live today.
๐ข Say hello to Ava.
Ava is Cognizo's new AI assistant, living right inside Content Studio. She takes you from "what should I write?" to a finished, ready-to-publish draft, built around the exact queries AI pulls from when it answers a prompt.
Here's what just landed:
๐น Recommendations Inbox โ a fresh weekly feed of content opportunities. Save, dismiss, and check them off as you go.
๐น Ava โ builds briefs AND full article drafts from your prompt data, all through a simple chat.
๐น Brand Settings โ set it up once, and everything Ava creates sounds like you.
Less guesswork. More published. ๐
Spent the past week deep diving into OpenAI's documentation on the new ChatGPT ads platform. Self-serve Ads Manager, CPC bidding, Conversions API, and more. A lot to chew on.
A few early thoughts.
The word OpenAI keeps using is relevance. Ads are ranked by it. The system finds the advertiser most relevant to the chat and serves the ad.
The name of the game now is figuring out the right relevance for your category and A/B testing it. Across the ad placement and across the organic answer above it.
At Cognizo we are actively experimenting with different models to better understand how this relevance signal works across both surfaces, organic and paid. More to share on that soon.
Wrote some of my initial thoughts on the blog. Link in replies โฌ๏ธ
ChatGPT just opened the gates.
Yesterday, OpenAI rolled out its self-serve Ads Manager in beta to advertisers across the U.S. complete with CPC bidding, a Conversions API, and pixel-based measurement.
In other words: ChatGPT is no longer an experiment for brands with massive budgets. It's a performance channel.
Three things that actually matter here:
1. The barrier is gone. OpenAI dropped its $50K minimum spend. Any business can now buy placements on a surface where hundreds of millions of people are actively researching what to buy.
2. The intent is unmatched. ChatGPT users aren't scrolling a feed. They're comparing options, evaluating products, and asking for recommendations right before they make a decision. That's the most valuable moment in the funnel, and now it's biddable.
3. This is the playbook, not a pilot. Self-serve buying, CPC bidding, conversion tracking, pixel attribution: that's the same infrastructure Google and Meta took a decade to build. OpenAI shipped it in three months. Every other AI platform is going to follow.
For the last two years, the AI marketing conversation has been almost entirely organic: how do I get cited? How do I show up when ChatGPT recommends a product?
That conversation isn't going anywhere. AEO is still the foundation, and it's what we've built Cognizo around. But there's now a second question marketers have to answer alongside it:
When organic isn't enough, how do I show up in the paid layer too?
Both matter. And we're cooking up something at Cognizo that helps with both.
More soon. ๐
๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ We just shipped the biggest upgrade to Citations.
Uncover your competitorsโ exact AI strategy and get ahead in AI answers:
๐น Prompt and Response Linking โ See the exact prompts driving citations and what AI actually said in the response. Click into any competitor domain to learn which questions are sending AI to their content.
๐น Industry Benchmarks โ Every metric now ships with a category average baked in. See at a glance whether you're winning or losing in your space, no manual benchmarking required.
๐น Page Type โ See which content formats AI is actually citing in your category. Articles, listicles, comparisons, how-to guides. Build the formats winning citations.
๐น YouTube and Reddit โ Track the channels, videos, subreddits, and posts AI is citing. Click into any one to see the prompts that triggered it, so you know exactly where video and community investment will pay off.
๐น Deep Dive โ Run side-by-side competitive citation analysis in minutes. Pick the brands to compare, see who's gaining or losing ground, identify gaps in earned media, and click into any page format to surface the specific pages driving their edge.
Most AEO tools tell you that you got cited. Cognizo shows you why, and what your competitors are doing about it.
We analyzed 4.6 million LinkedIn AI search citations.
LinkedIn is the 4th most cited domain across all AI engines.
73% of citations came from one source: Pulse (Articles). That is 3,349,887 citations from long-form articles alone.
โก๏ธ Pulse (Articles): 73%
โก๏ธ Posts: 10.5%
โก๏ธ Collaborative Articles: 9.6%
โก๏ธ Everything else: ~7%
AI engines do not cite short-form posts. They cite depth.
If your LinkedIn strategy is built around short updates, AI is not citing your brand. The data confirms it.
Two metrics define LinkedIn in 2026: engagement and citability. Most brands are only tracking one.

Last year, Opal started AEO from scratch. A few months later, buyers were telling them they found them from AI responses.
After partnering with Cognizo, their overall AI search visibility grew by 30x, while their visibility on the highest-value prompts jumped over 80%.
What made it work? One helpful article per week targeting the top questions their buyers were asking. Consistent publishing. The impact compounded.
Most marketers are still flying blind in AI search. Opal already knows how the channel works and we're glad to be part of it.

๐ Just launched Prompt Volumes
Keyword tools were built for search engines. But your buyers aren't searching anymore, they're asking AI. Prompt Volumes shows you what buyers are asking, at scale, so you can own the right corner of AI search before your competitors do.
With Prompt Volumes, marketing teams can:
๐น Prioritize the right prompts with confidence
๐น Surface prompts you didn't know existed
๐น Skip the guesswork and go straight to what works
Go to replies if you want to win in AI search ๐
We just launched Agency Marketplace ๐
As Cognizo has grown, many of our customers and inbound leads have been asking for trusted agencies to help implement AEO strategies.
So we created the Agency Marketplace to connect those companies directly with vetted agency partners.
Brands can now quickly find trusted AEO experts super-powered by Cognizo.
Apply to our agency partner program now to get featured โฌ๏ธ
๐ Pitch Brands are officially available for all agencies
Use Cognizo to run custom AEO audits for prospects and win more deals.
Weโve rolled out our upgraded agency workspace and made Pitch Brands available to all agency plans.
Pitch Brands help marketing and PR agencies win more deals by showing prospects exactly how their brand appears in AI answers before they sign. Now, agencies can:
๐น Create on-demand custom audits for client pitches with set durations
๐น Access fully-configured Cognizo instances built for that brand
๐น Use the prospect's actual AI visibility metrics to increase win rates
๐น Upgrade successful pitches for ongoing client tracking with ease
At Cognizo, we help agencies launch and scale Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) as a new revenue stream.
Some of our earliest agency partners started with a single client, and used Pitch Brands to scale AEO across their entire client portfolio.
If youโre an agency looking to future-proof your services and stand out in the new era of search, letโs talk.
Last year, Hat Club made an early bet: AI search isnโt a novelty. Itโs where shoppers are starting to decide what to buy.
They knew they wanted to build a real channel around AI discovery and that meant measuring it, managing it, and tying it back to revenue instead of vibes.
They chose to partner with Cognizo. In just 4 months, AI visibility jumped from 6% to over 50%, while revenue from AI referrals grew 20x.
What made it work? The team used Cognizo to run AI visibility the same way they run merchandising. Prompts were mapped to real products, visibility drops triggered action, and publishing stayed consistent even when results took time to show. The impact compounded.
Most brands are still flying blind in AI search. Hat Club already knows how the channel works and weโre glad to be part of it.
