Fat Wrappers: The Unbundling of ChatGPT.

Everyone's been dismissing AI wrappers. "OpenAI will kill them all." True for thin wrappers. Not for fat ones.

Thin wrappers are burritos: a clever prompt wrapped in a tortilla UI. They compete on intelligence, which OpenAI owns.

Fat wrappers are burgers: AI in the middle, human buns on both sides. They compete on execution, which OpenAI doesn't want to touch.

Thin wrappers are (AI) tools. Fat wrappers are (agentic) services. Consumers paid $10/month for tools that help them work. They'll pay $100/month for services that do the work. File your taxes. Book your trip. Check your health.

Why? Because AI is middle-to-middle, not end-to-end. Great at drafting, terrible at messy intake and real-world execution. The human edges matter.

Full autonomy is a few years away but hybrid human-AI services work today. While everyone chases better models, the winners will master operations. Great ops is how you turn AI into reliable service delivery.

That's how you compete with (and maybe unbundle) ChatGPT. By owning the complex work of actually getting things done.

Hamas are killing their own. the hospital explosion is the result of a missile misfire. an attempt to fire their "most capable" rocket, aimed at Haifa, a city with 300,000 citizens, many of which are Arabs.
