@ZapDynamic In school they had us read the Seamus Heaney translation of Beowulf, and then Grendel as kind of of existentialist aperitif. I enjoyed it.

@ZapDynamic 13 years if you count college work study. 10 if you don’t. The only full time job I ever got good at is my current one, after they moved me to a specific role. It can be stressful, but I get to use my strengths. Also the other people in my office are nice. I got lucky.

@meglish 6) I admit this has all been very beautiful, but so was Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and that one had both protagonists and antagonists I was interested in, AND a plot that didn’t feel thrown together.
