Connie Craig’s favorite hockey memory was when her team won the championship right after her dad’s passing. Even though she was the only female on the team, her teammates who were mostly Punjabi, displayed compassion and kindness that she will always remember.

Athanasiou, a former 30 goal scorer, gives EDM much needed speed on the wings, and will get immeadiate shot in Edm's top 9.
Look for Ken Holland to recoup traded picks to Detroit, in a Jesse Pulujarvi trade closer to the draft.
Sam Gagner-class guy!
@jill_tatham @aliveinCalgary@ericnuttall@OilsandsAction No we did not have an election over the environment lol. I think most Canadians care about the environment, even those in the energy industry. I encourage you to read up on Teck as a company, they are a world class diverse and environmentally responsible 100+ yr old company.
The @Canes emergency backup goalie (EBUG) tonight is 42-year-old Dave Ayres. Ayres served as EBUG for the Charlotte Checkers on Feb. 1 against the Marlies, and received a kidney transplant in 2004.
@MikeKellyNHL Gotta call that one. I get that it is a 1-1 game with less than a minute to go in regulation, but that took a very good scoring chance/possibly a goal away from Zuc. Penalty all day long. Interesting too that Dallas has yet to have a powerplay this game, Blues have had 2.
@mmcgennis @electricsunliz @DallasStars Doing a little research, it is in the rule book that refs and linesmen can blow down the play whenever they think it is warranted. That might explain some of the lack of consistency. It isn't black or white.
@mmcgennis @electricsunliz @DallasStars They blew it down for Pavelski when the Knights had possession. Same linesmen as in this game too. Technically the rule is they dont blow it down unless the injured players team has possession but this isn't necessarily followed to a "T". Officiating inconsistent all playoffs.
Last point from an officiating mind; future potential injury! With Bishop down & back of legs; neck; head & unable to defend himself let alone his net, a slapshot strikes him in vulnerable spot resulting in debilitating injury or worse, what would we be talking about? No whistle!
