🚨ALERT: GLM-5.3 FOUND A SERIOUS VULNERABILITY IN CURSOR

Z-AI Researchers gave Cursor a complex reverse-engineering task on its mixed Rust + Electron architecture. It identified a potential flaw in the permission validation logic that could allow arbitrary file writes.

In the worst case, that opens the door to stealing sensitive data or fully compromising a developer’s environment.

The team disclosed it privately. Cursor is already working on a fix, and more details will come out once users are protected.

This is one of the clearer real-world examples so far of these new models moving past benchmarks and actually finding high-impact issues in widely used developer tools.

Worth watching.
