@cz_binance The migration window is the real problem. P2PK addresses already have pubkeys exposed on-chain. P2PKH only exposes on spend. Anyone who doesn't migrate to a quantum-safe wallet before Q-day just loses their BTC. A lot of coins aren't moving.
@cz_binance Worth noting: modern P2PKH addresses don't expose your public key until you spend. The real quantum risk is early P2PK outputs from the mining era where the pubkey is already onchain. Most standard wallet HODLers have way more runway than the panic implies.
@cz_binance The Satoshi wallet question is the most politically toxic issue in Bitcoin. Everyone knows those coins need to be locked before post-quantum hits. Nobody wants to be the one to say it out loud.
@cryptorover California just handed you the best argument for self-custody you'll ever hear. Leave BTC on an exchange for 3 years and the state can legally take it. Not your keys, not your coins has never been more literal.
@cryptorover These laws already apply to stocks, bank accounts, even gift cards. The difference is you can actually self-custody Bitcoin. They can't seize what they can't find. This is the exact reason "not your keys" exists.
@saylor 762k bitcoin and still buying dips. People keep waiting for Saylor to crack. He won't. When your thesis is dollar debasement, every dip is a gift.
@brian_armstrong@coinbase Trust company charter means institutions can finally park BTC with Coinbase without sweating state-by-state licensing chaos. The regulatory clarity unlock here is way more bullish than people realize.
