Sometimes I wish I had the capacity to get a rich old man to take care of me but I just am not that good of an actress to pretend like I’m attracted to them or not gag when they try and touch me😭
Ima blow my cover so damn fast😩
I don't know how people manage to miss the point of Obsession because I don't think it's very subtle at all.
Bear goes to a crystal shop to buy something Nikki needs, a crystal necklace, but he leaves with something he wants (the one wish willow) which is a recurring thing throughout the whole movie.
Bear cared more about what he wants than he did for what she needs. #Obsession
seeing this and thinking (again) about the fact that bear killed himself not to rid nikki off being under the control of his wish, but to rid HIMSELF of the consequences of his own actions… and now SHE pays the price? he’s a coward from the start of the movie until the very end.
The way the body remembers grief is so so weird bc the last few days I’ve been feeling so exhausted & kinda depressed & anxious for no reason. Come to realise today that it’s 7 years to the day that my Nan entered her end of life stage, which lasted 2 weeks before she died
Your body remembers even if you don’t always consciously remember at first. So be kind to yourself if you’re feeling shitty for ‘no reason’. It could be your body remembers something you aren’t aware of. It could be your body dealing with it and processing it
Can I be dirty 2 seconds???
The fact he’s IN her in that moment makes it so fucking hot… sorry but it’s not just a “come here closer to me” it’s literally a “you are mine”
Ford fired a $200,000-a-year employee over a $1.95 cookie he paid for.
Kurt Kromm, 11 years at the Kentucky Truck Plant, felt his blood sugar drop at 3:30 a.m. He's diabetic. The kiosk flashed red on his card, so he paid at the second machine, ate the cookie, went back to building trucks.
A week later security walked him out. Wouldn't even let him take his tools.
Then he pulled up his bank statement. The $1.95 charge was sitting right there. Ford checked with the kiosk company, confirmed he paid, cut him $28,000 in back pay, and begged him to come back.
He said no. Took a job closer to home with a raise.
So the final scorecard: Ford spent $28,000, lost an 11-year veteran, and took a national PR beating to recover a cookie that was never stolen. The cookie cost $1.95. Firing the guy who bought it cost 14,000 cookies.
The fact that Curry Barker explicitly confirmed the main character in Obsession was named Bear as a direct nod to the viral 'man or bear' safety debate makes the movie ten times darker. It completely recontextualizes the whole 'nice guy' horror dynamic into a literal survival nightmare
@ligerzerosyren I turned 18 around the same time and paid $270 splitting rent with 2 roommates. This was only 20% of my take home income working part time at a grocery store. Kids today have it so hard. It's unfair what we've done to this country.
I turned 18 in 2011. Rent was $425. After work I’d go to the mall with friends and get a whole new outfit for $40. We’d go out that night, drinks were $3 and whole meals were like $7. Wake up next morning & get brunch WITH DRINKS for less than $15. Life is hell now.
