@TomcatJunkie I recommend "The Dark Secrets of SHTF Survival "by Belco Segovic. He lived through collapse and civil conflict in the Balkans... what he describes is as you say... collapse of services, social cohesion failure. Doesn't sound like a good time.
@dom_lucre The only thing I would say is that, even in dry fire practice, I'd like to see them on a "firing line" not stacked one in front of another. Even if they are offset. Other than that, good on 'em.
@sarahhepola Fix the tire or change the tire?
Changing a tire is a very easy job... but can be dangerous depending on what road you are on... so change the tire, yes.
Fix the tire is a harder question. There are some good options these days; but likely taking to the shop.
@SenWarren No. No you won't. You won't even be able to close the $2T deficit. That's $2T/year. If you confiscated everything he has you would only cover half of 1 yr deficit. You won't even pay off existing debt. Stop lying
@RainforrestGump@DigitalSamIAm It's a crappy arrangement; but I get how we got here. If you have a client who is sort of wishy-washy about requirements, adds dumb features, wants to run projects by committee, and has to bribe congress for funding; there's a cost for that piss poor admin. Congress.
@pensandpoison When the univ could be paid for with a summer job, this line of reasoning was sound. To burden a young person, just starting out, with 60k-100k worth of undischargable debt and then tell them you don't care about improving marketability is evil.
@MasterMaliq I desperately want to believe this, but
What happens if I say... fuck Muhamed?
If I say fuck Jesus ... people will look down on me; but my chances of being murdered are very low?
If my govt reps are Christian or jew or Buddhist the chances I can live a secular life are good.
