It’s a feeling of safety, or trust. I can relax and know that that window of suffering wasn’t for nothing. It’s all just peaks and valleys. Maybe all I’m trying to say is, let’s be friends again.

I try to tell myself happiness is the balance between belonging, purpose, and freedom. But I think I kinda forgot about that just to try and keep my head above water. Didn’t realize that 3 weeks of treading water would turn into 3 months/eventually stealing 2 years of my life.

As it usually is with these things, hindsight is a doozy. All this time later, it feels like a reunion with a certain level of self recognition. One that’s familiar but also one that’s been shaped by everything leading to now.

I agree with Gov. Stitt that the @CherokeeNation constitution is different from Oklahoma’s constitution. I disagree with Governor Stitt that Cherokee Nation’s Constitution is “problematic.” It’s an expression of tribal sovereignty worthy of celebration, or at least respect.
