Great to see a major publication like TIME reporting on an issue that many have been raising for years. Transparency and accountability should apply equally.

Qatar has nothing to do with the activities described in this report. Yet almost immediately, some tried to shift the conversation back to Qatar instead of engaging with what the article actually says.

What’s most telling is that some are dismissing this reporting as “disinformation” while at the same time trying to drag Qatar into a story that has nothing to do with us.

If we’re going to have an honest discussion about foreign influence, it should be based on facts and not on using Qatar as a scapegoat every time an uncomfortable story breaks.
