human society, like the brain, has multiple overlapping control systems. the idea that someone must be in control is an illusion. who is in control of your body? did you choose to wake up from sleep? did you choose to breathe just now? did you choose to blink your eyes? be real.
Clearly an adaptation not a bug, in terms of this global shit. It is an advantage, for the flesh, no doubt.
It really seems dope, till u see thats ALL it is. Then its like damn u poor retarded fucker,,, heres some more of my blood
The parasite has assumed control of their body
Vampire : “My life sucks cuz im a sadistic person!! I cant feel empathy. Imagine being me… That would suck right??”
human : for sure, that would suck.
Vampire: can i please bite u real quick?😢 i would feel way better.
Human: fuck it got u 🩸🫀
They cant determine the difference between dark humor and actually horrible sad things 🤣🤣
Also, if u take a lil poke at their ego or past or image or whatever, they will flip da lid 🤣🤣 cuz ALL they have is the avatar.
“Ur fortnite skin sucks!!””
“Die slowly then!!”
Ai should be able to scan every stores data to determine the absolute cheapest number someone will sell something for.
Like every listing on ebay offerup etc, someone needs $40 more than their tv
And that guy needs to find someone to buy his tv asap too
Practical dystopia
Oh one more thing: my roommate is Augustus Gloop. Yeah, from that thing with the crazy guy. He’s really chill but obviously don’t bring it up or anything
This kid’s talent level is INSANE.
Holy shit.
He’s playing both parts of one of the most challenging guitar parts of all time - Dire Straits’ “Sultans of Swing” - and making it look effortless 👀
Pretty cool, man.
One of the most bizarre (and devastating) consequences of clinical PTSD is when you develop the ability to react only in extreme situations.
Put me in a normal situation, I can barely comprehend it. Drop me into pure chaos and I am the fastest mover.
This is why you see people going back to prison, going back to war, going back to situations where they will likely be destroyed. The illusion that betting on your own destruction may produce a life where you're still alive.
In trading, this is known as gambler's ruin. When you play a game with net negative expected value against a counterparty with an infinite bankroll, you will always lose. No matter how strong you are, no matter what you bring to the table. Play long enough and you will lose everything.
Going back to the normal world might be difficult for you, but it's much easier than the alternative.
I don't know if trees have egos but an elder once told me about “shaman trees”.
Something about how the oldest tree in any given forest — which is connected to every other tree through the roots system, mycelium network, chemical signals in the air, etc — has effectively absorbed or acquired the "knowledge" provided by every other tree in the forest over the course of its life, and as such, is acknowledged by the other trees as “the one who knows” (which is itself the definition of the word shaman).
Until, eventually, it dies and the forest organizes its "signal" around a new wise tree where the living, millenary, collective wisdom of the forest will continue.
