What I hate the most about this Knicks run is that they really remind me of the Celtics from 2024. Questionable comp, destroys every team in the east w crazy point differentials, and still written off to lose the finals before it starts… it almost feels like another destiny run.

@holl6948 @MarkDondero I agree that Tatum is the better overall player. Brunson is just the latest measuring stick to use for what fans would desire a clutch player to look like in tense moments. I can visibly see when Tatum and the team get nervous, which lead to so many “oh no not this again” moments

@holl6948 @MarkDondero I don’t need to be reminded of his highs I was there. JT is my favorite player in the league and it’s been that way since his rookie playoff run. But like the OP says, it’s the floor - why are there so many lows to go with the highs? Over the last 10 yrs it’s a legitimate point.

@holl6948 @MarkDondero I agree - whatever this bug is it affects the whole team and not just Tatum. But I fear very deep down that it might be because of JT, as he’s the face of the team. A team always reflects their best player/leader.

@StoolGreenie I love Jt but you’re cherry picking. I agree Tatum has the capacity to be clutch *at times but he’s not a Brunson. U never get the feeling Brunson is nervous in close games or big moments, and the last two post seasons prove this - including NY walking us down twice at home…

@AndrewDoxy I think the same but prolly opposite of how ur viewing it. Imo NY is like the Celtics - blowing everyone out of the water up until the finals yet people still favorite the team that comes out the west over them, just for the west team to get exposed. This won’t be a short series.
