launched NFT's on multiple blockchains now, and it's been proven that community + support from the chain is of upmost important.
> operated on @ethereum for 3 years through 2 collections (which merged to one now) and completed all promises/roadmaps in full. issues? gas fees. not necessarily when buying/selling, but building gamified applications with tons of tx's has proven to be extremely costly --> driving an L2 that operates applications for ETH NFT's? what's the point? might as well launch on a new chain.
> went to the @SeiNetwork (free mint) for users who wanted to be apart of something trendy. we brought 1000's of users to SEI, and never got a single message from their team offering support. we made $0 money, and spent lots of artwork, team, etc. no extraction at all, but simply give back the community + chain. unfortunately, the infra isn't there anymore. @Pallet_Exchange sunsetted a few months ago (great guys) and Compass wallet is extremely irritating to use (hardly ever works + interacting with any apps will give you a stroke).
> trying ApeChain (gwapes, also free) and have received messages from Yuga employees, had official ApeChain support, have had exchanges reach out to us offering support, multiple launchpads wanting to do stuff for free, and collectors from ApeChain wanting to support in anyway possible. I think one of the most unique things about ApeChain is that i) it is EVM and previous ETH holders are familiar with the process of minting, buying/selling, etc and ii) it comes with a foundation of die hard NFT collectors from BAYC/MAYC + others.
while our Ethereum collections remains our main collection, i'm still learning in this space and trying to create opportunities, digital experiences and fun memories for collectors in our circle.
it makes me grateful for some of the larger groups (Yuga, Pudgies, etc) created their own chains to fix issues within the wider NFT landscape that most founders trying to be creative struggle with (including the bigger groups, names, etc).
for the first time since 2021, I feel like a collector. the vibes are slowly coming back. let's ride, gwapes!
What is Gwapes by @Grapes?
1. It is a free mint.
2. It is a small collection (approx 2,000).
3. Spots are hard to get; no collabs.
4. Minting on ApeChain (@ApeCoin)
To get a spot, you must earn it. Interact with my posts, feel free to sub, or grab an existing Grape on ETH.
If you earned a spot, still interact.
Make it harder for the next Gwape.
