Does anyone have any favorite backpacking hikes in WA they recommend? I'm planning to do a lot more of it after we graduate, so it's much appreciated! #ENVIR492
@maddie_rutter talked about a very important topic of dicussion for her capstone on how we can improve our connection with nature via citizen science. She's also presenting Wednesday! #ENVIR492
Do you know why it's important to study fish behavior? What can this work do for the world? Come find out in breakout room 18 where I'll specifically talk about observing halibut behavior using underwater video! #ENVIR492#halibutisthebestflatfishfightme
Since this is the largest number of students participating in the capstone symposium I wonder what the average number of breakout room attendees will be? Potential one on ones? Lol #ENVIR492
My old boss (will also be my boss this summer) doesn't have twitter, but she is a marine ecologist that tackles multiple projects including the invasive european green crab, intertidal surveys, olive snail surveys, and much more. Field work = fun #potentialfuturecareer#EVIR492
Shoutout to @NOAAFisheries. I know they handle a lot of projects, but I'm really hoping to see how the underwater video analysis one progresses. Watching how species behave is genuinely interesting. #ENVIR492
I finished this book called Global Warming and the Sweetness of Life: a Tar Sands Tale. It's 175 pages and broadens your perspective on the issues of global warming and how interconnected it is with socioeconomic issues. I also never new about the Tar Sands, just wow. #ENVIR492
