@counterattack9 I agree with the high pressing trend. With possession, although there is risk I'm not sure the reward is as clear. I wonder if a counter-possession narrative could make it popular to focus on actions in the attacking box, encouraging more volume there.
Will there be a high risk-high reward revolution in soccer tactics?
The NBA, NFL & MLB have all gone through these in the past 10 years. The Warriors, the change in RB use and prioritizing slugging have all evolved strategy in their respective sports - modern meta.
@SebC__ This is spot on - he’s doubled down on his clear advantages and has better avoided situations that expose him. He can twitch his way out of tight spaces, where he was a walking turnover before. His crossing accuracy is shocking and is demoralizing given the spaces he ends up.
@joeladejola So much that we don’t see from the outside looking in, but hearing that is a great indicator. I also find that players speaking highly of other players that aren’t obvious in interviews is a great signal of something that we might be missing (ie Moussa Dembele @ Spurs)
Incredible work by John Muller to design our new @TheAthleticFC match dashboards.
I've taken a look at some of the big games from the weekend's fixtures, to give you a flavour of them in use!

@kickswish are these all of his involvements, or just on ball involvements? i seem to remember him getting rinsed by trossard a few times with bad rotations and positioning
@_Susaeta @LUFC Barnes eating Dallas for 30 mins. Also need to work on covering the space between Koch/Klich and front 4 when they break - D-H finding joy when that opens up.
@khatri_shreyas Not dissimilar to a knuckleball technique, but you start the swing earlier to come across the ball with the inside of your foot instead of hitting it flat.
