🇺🇸 The Duke of Edinburgh has visited the United States of America to celebrate the relationship between the US and the UK, with a particular focus on shared interests around youth empowerment and opportunity, and the arts.

📍 In New York, The Duke joined representatives from the city’s cultural sector at the Metropolitan Opera.

📍 In Baltimore, HRH visited Western High School - the oldest all-girls public high school in the US - as they become a new Duke of Edinburgh International Award partner school.

📍While in Washington DC, in recognition of the year of America 250 celebrations, The Duke of Edinburgh visited Mount Vernon to tour the new education centre, meet supporters and historians and lay a wreath at the tomb of George Washington.

Later, The Duke joined guests from the arts, heritage and education sectors at the British Ambassador’s residence for The King’s Birthday Party.
