Beyond excited to share that I will be joining @UofT_DoM for Internal Medicine! #CaRMS#CaRMSMatch!
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me over the last decade of schooling, your support truly means the world ❤️
As a med student who had 2 children during med school I'm often asked what kind of support I need, and besides the obvious like childcare, I never had a good answer. This elective at the University of Minnesota is the definition of support, all med schools should take notes.
Over the past 8 years, I’ve admitted >5,000 patients.
I use the same strategy every time to:
• Stay organized
• Be Efficient
• Be complete
Admissions can be overwhelming.
Stop stressing, steal my 4 tips below ⤵️
How to ensure your patient doesn’t sleep:
😴 IV lasix at 10 PM
😴 Continuous IVF and a beeping IV pump
😴 1G solumedrol qhs
😴 Troponin at 1 AM. Morning labs at 4 AM.
😴 Midnight vitals
🤔
@samhenrigold I have my Hi-Fi hooked up with a second gen AirPort Express via optical audio cable and it works like a charm via AirPlay! Everyone is blown away with the quality.
In fairness, that setup doesn’t power my iPhone 😉
I’ve spent 1500+ hours learning about AI tools for research.
There is so much confusing information and too many apps.
Here are 7 use cases of AI apps I use to speed up research efficiency. ↓
Thanks @cpso_ca for this clear guidance supporting fam. docs to be able to focus on their work while not also being responsible for tests requested or ordered by others. This is the kind of unnecessary admin work we need to remove.
Thanks @ontariocollege & @SGFP4FamilyDocs!

Astonished I got an add on @Windows 10 on a computer used for clinical work. @Microsoft needs to focus up and sort itself out. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable, thank goodness a patient wasn’t in the room
Apparently today is #WomenEqualityDay…
Here’s how #healthcare is doing:
💵74 cents on the dollar for female physician compensation compared to that of male physicians
👩🏻⚕️Only 37% of the US physician workforce are women
🤰🏻Female physicians have a higher infertility and pregnancy loss rate than non-physicians
👋🏼In EM, female physician attrition is 14 years earlier than that of male EM physicians
📚In academic medicine, women have higher attrition rates at every career stage
🚨Suicide deaths are 250 - 400% higher among female physicians as compared to females in other professions
😡Over 50% of female physicians formally report experiencing sexual harassment…so the real number is much higher
…not so hot, huh?

UPDATE:
One individual has been taken into police custody.
Three victims transported to hospital.
Expect an increased police presence in the area.
More information will be provided when available.

By 2036, immigrants will represent up to 30% of Canada's population, compared to 20.7% in 2011. With 218,430 new refugees admitted from 2016-2021, it is crucial to provide inclusive healthcare. Here are valuable resources for providing quality care to immigrants and refugees. 1/4
