Our daily tribute to the 18 British victims of the 7th October.

Day 5: Bernard Cowan moved to Israel as a teenager and built a life in Kibbutz Sufa with his wife, Margaret. Together, Margaret and Bernard had three children as well as two grandchildren.

On the 7th October, at the age of 57, he was tragically murdered in his home during the Hamas attack. Bernard was the only Scot to lose his life that day.
