It’s incredibly devastating that Republican leaders refuse to accept science in the face of a pandemic. At best they cherry pick the science to support their agenda. Wearing a mask to the grocery store isn’t that much of a burden. The denial of reality in Florida is shocking.
.@AnthonySabatini, a #Florida#Gop Lawmaker (and imbecile) , claims "Florida is doing just fine" with #covid19. As numbers rise and more people are dying he says it's ok b/c the state has a large population .

Trump on why he picked Easter as the day he wants to end strict social distancing and reopen American businesses: "Easter is a very special day for me ... Easter Sunday, and you'll have packed churches all over our country."
Drive-in movie theaters are seeing an uptick in business across the country as audiences practice social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic. https://t.co/k4SxlvPS9A

"We pretty much shut it down...It'll be down to close to zero...It's really working out...No, I don't take responsibility at all."
America needs a president who tells the truth. Our lives depend on it.
One way to think about social distancing is that to contribute to a great national cause in World War II you had to, like, die face down in the muck on some tiny pacific island, now you can literally stay at home, watch the sopranos or that Netflix dating show and be a hero
If you’re wondering whether it’s an overreaction to cancel large gatherings and public events (and I love basketball), here’s a useful primer as to why these measures can slow the spread of the virus and save lives. We have to look out for each other. https://t.co/Ld7Uc8sPTQ
I’m amazed by the amount of people still going out. I get it. I’m 29 and I wanna live my life too.
But this is a pandemic. Sacrifice now. Stay home. Slow the spread of coronavirus. We‘d return to normalcy sooner. If not: more deaths, full hospitals and a lockdown are inevitable.

First, you stoke hatred and fear of minorities. Then you round them up and put them in camps. Next, you send out raiding parties to get those who have been driven into hiding. The armbands come next right?
To tell these American citizens (most of whom were born here) to “go back” to the “crime infested places from which they came” is racist and disgusting.
