@suchnerve Moreover, this known risk of cardiovascular harm is only a concern in heavy/chronic use of NSAIDs. So if someone takes e.g. OTC ibuprofen once in a while the cardiac damage is negligible and they should not stress about offsetting the oxidative damage they are doing.
@suchnerve This isn't a "fact" though. This is speculation from a press release about a study that demonstrates oxidative damage is the driver of the known cardiovascular damage from NSAIDs. Vitamin c hasn't been studied on whether it actually has a beneficial effect when taken with NSAIDs
@pctg16@bhairya Correct, because unlike the preventing heart disease idea this is actually backed by evidence rather than just speculation OP read in a university's press release.
@rnovak1988 @YazzyPoppins @kblineage@SarahIronside6 @Dave_Mirsky New Mexico, absolutely. It's one of the three poorest states along with Alabama and Mississippi. Rural states give less per capita in general. It's also the most rural and poorest blue state. Cite your sources though! CA gives a lot more than receives: https://t.co/eyEBtf2RXo
@SwannMarcus89 I have never gone caving and have never seen this image before or know if it's about a real situation or something but looking at it makes me want to die.
Rotating in the county jail for the next month and today an inmate stopped me to tell me I had the best mustache in the whole facility. I will be riding the high of that complement for a long time.
@demonickalfun@focusfronting@LolOverruled Spoken like someone who has not compared their FYPs to many other people's and realized just how much content is on TikTok that the algorithm will never show because it's not "for you"
@izzzTzzzi @soh_toa@SashSoulsmith@DialecticBio @The_C_J_Sailor Again though, we're not really talking about race here, but ancestry (and skin tone), both of which race is sometimes usable as a proxy for but it's unreliable.
@SashSoulsmith@soh_toa @izzzTzzzi @DialecticBio @The_C_J_Sailor When my dad was dating my mom in 60s London per family lore it was rumored that she was dating an "Arab" or a "rabbinical student" because he is quite dark by English standards. But his known ancestry is entirely Northern European.
@SashSoulsmith@soh_toa @izzzTzzzi @DialecticBio @The_C_J_Sailor Honestly more accurate to say skin color -> race as your color will do more to dictate what race society treats you as than your actual ancestry.
