@mufcMPB I’m happy with this, as long as it doesn’t mean we use him instead of buying a new midfielder. We can’t keep treating call ups from the youth as new signings cause they need time to settle in.
@tweetcunha He’s also injury prone and turning 30 in August. I feel there are better players that would fit the long term idea of United’s midfield better.
@MartienBall Not very happy. They aren’t bad players, but if we want to compete at a higher level again, we need an elite level player in the midfield. Also, we’ll have no natural DM.
@Furious_red_ I would like to replace him if we could, but he’s not been awful. We’ve seen than when he can click into gear he can be really useful for us.
@Furious_red_ I’ve never hated Ugarte, I actually feel he gets a lot of unnecessary stick, but the facts are even now, with a thread bare midfield, he isn’t being picked. And if you’re not getting minutes when there are very few options, there’s really no point staying.
@RomzyUnited With Casemiro gone and Ugarte likely to leave, the only CM we have is Mainoo. I wouldn’t say the defence is awful, but the reason the midfeild is being prioritised is because we do not have one .
@Ighayin1@9t_Josh Regarding his midfield profile, yes. But his ability let him down. I feel he just didn’t suit the league and has had a real knock of confidence. But there are risks in every transfer and that’s not to say I wouldn’t take Fernandes at the club.
