#TFGBV is the new, unregulated frontier threatening to undo decades of progress and silence essential voices. We cannot afford to ignore it in the #Beijing30 agenda.

“During this #16DaysofActivism, it is especially important to raise awareness of TFGBV and its growing impact on women and girls globally. In this year that marks 30 years since the adoption of the BPfA, we are presented with a vital opportunity to explicitly integrate TFGBV into the global agenda for gender equality, ensuring that progress in the digital sphere keeps pace with gains made offline.”

🚨 30 years later- women and girls are still not safe online! Technology is becoming a weapon of control and intimidation. The Beijing Declaration Platform for Action's legacy is at stake.

The rising tide of #TFGBV (deepfakes, cyberstalking, surveillance etc.) threatens to undo decades of hard-won gains for women globally. We must urgently integrate digital safety into the global gender equality agenda NOW.
