Keep wondering what these leaps mean for designing, building, and maintaining websites. ๐ค
Why visit a site when instant, personalized answers are available elsewhere?
How will we even define "website"?
Is now the time to be leaning in on experiential sites?
"Jobs to be done" focused sites?
Community curated sites?
Paywalled sites?
Microsites?
or ????
How will websites vary across industries?
Imagine a restaurant's homepage: a chatbot for orders when the business is open, a pitch to eat there when closed.
Imagine search tools that understand more than the specifics: How much more efficient and pleasant could that make searching for a new home, car, insurance policy, or other complex purchase where priorities and preferences were understood too.
And how will these changes lead to new design patterns and opportunities? How will standard sections like navigation, footers, hero sections evolve? How does that impact usability and ultimately wayfinding for site visitors?
First thing I ever made in Replit that went viral was a graph db that ingests and organizes your Twitter bookmarks so you can explore them visually.
Maybe I need to revisit this thingโฆ

I thought Sonnet was the default in Claude at the start of the week. Now, it's Opus?
Feel like I have lost my grip on when to use what recently.
Looking forward to this.
Send this to the person who opens ChatGPT or Claude, sees the model list, and chooses the familiar one.
Friday at 10 AM PT, Iโm teaching a simple system for choosing between Fable 5, Opus 4.8, and GPT-5.6, plus when instant, fast, or extended reasoning makes sense.
Youโll leave with the decision trees I use.

@landforce Think it will take awhile yet, depending on industry.
Just thinking back to how long it took for businesses to stop promoting their new social media accounts.
@thsottiaux No limit -- but data so you can figure out how quickly you are going through allotment and if you might run out prematurely.
Inspiration: Phone telling me when it will be done charging.
Haven't seen them in my tl, but I am noticing more of your posts following recent X algo update.
I have gone to YouTube with the intent of sharing a stream and a timestamp for where to start watching.
Instead, have discovered clips I've needed -- Data center water usage has been especially useful.
Tree trimming in our neighborhood post storm seems to be done and power is back on.
Now getting set up for OpenAI's Build Week.
No project yet.
May experiment with streaming as I build.
@itsolelehmann Interesting.
Have been feeling drained in a new way recently.
Current experiment: starting mornings building something fun. It's not optimized. Trying not to do too many things at once.
Been enjoying it.
We're rolling out a small tweak to boost visibility of your posts to your mutuals (people who you follow back).
We noticed this data was missing from the algo and it made your friends appear less in your replies. This resulted in the reply section feeling more like a battleground with people you don't recognize.
This should also help clusters form around interests more easily, which many people have asked for.
No experimental livestream this AM: Another power outage.
Was without power most of yesterday too.
There have been lots of ads locally for whole house generators.
Pitch is not "in case of hurricane." Pitch is for "when the grid goes down and it will."
Reached Claude session limit at the right time: We're having an internet and power outage.
Second time this week for internet.
I don't think there is enough discussion about America's infrastructure. Given how long it takes to build, it's going to be a bigger and bigger issue.

Didn't feel like much worked today: Mobile bug from yesterday still unresolved.
Parts of the game not well thought out and not fun to play.
May require some foundational rethinking.
