Do the people who do these posts realize it makes them look like amateurs?
This is called business. It’s hard.
Sometimes you can’t pay your vendors on time and sometimes your customers don’t pay you.
Sometimes you can’t make payroll. Sometimes you have to lay people off.
Sometimes you make a mistake, sometimes you’re on the other end of someone else’s.
Sometimes those mistakes are catastrophic. Sometimes people treat you like shit because they can.
It’s business. It’s hard. It’s often not intentional or personal and in all cases you adjust accordingly and build losses into your model as a function of revenue.
Lock in boys, it’s just business.
so a little while ago, i tweeted about a brand that didn't pay their final invoice. i talked to the ceo - he assured me it was a big misunderstanding.
i said, ok, well pay the invoice. it's like 30 days passed the net 30 at this point.
"well actually, you didn't fulfill your contract - we owe you $50k, but looking at what your contract says, we will offer you $12k."
obviously - I said no. however, they said us leaving would hurt, and I wanted to be done with it, so I settled at $30,000.
their team has now gone dark. yet again.
A girl just passed out on my flight and I watched a kinda dorky doctor stand up, tuck in his shirt, and calmly walk back to help like he was built for it.
She’s fine and it’ll go down as some of the most aura I’ve witnessed live.
