A lot of people fall into this fallacy:
They continue spending time with someone solely because of shared history.
History is a factor for me, but the reality is people change and just because you clicked with someone in the past doesn't mean you still do.
There's an opportunity cost here too bc if you spend lots of time with the same people you're taking time away from meeting new people.
Hi if you want to read my thoughts follow my other account @crabbyman223 . I'm consolidating everything there. I post there a lot and i won't be posting here ever.

Answered my own question here. It's because when i have this issue I'm trying to get the LLM to make a judgment. But like @yacineMTB said, the judgment is up to you. You cannot outsource your judgment to an LLM. It's a useful tool for a lot of other things, but not judgment
I feel like I have this issue whenever I use LLMs for anything remotely nuanced
Skill issue or is this just the people pleasing/mirroring nature of the models?
@themattmic Damn carl really was the goat. This is all way too real
The line ‘Unable to distinguish between what feels good and what is true’ really hits home
I'm researching how people experience overthinking
If overthinking is part of your life (whatever that means to you), I'd love to chat. DM me if you'd be open to talking
@brainenergy4me Sometimes I feel like understanding this is forbidden knowledge bc it's so hard to maintain the 'non-inflamed' state. The system is so complex
And it's heartbreaking to be aware of showing up as a diminished version of yourself
If it's a close friend there's usually something fundamental that brought you close originally.
You can breathe life back into these friendships if you remember what it was and dive back into it. it's not regressing, bc whatever that fundamental thing is, you adjust it for who you are now.
It can be really refreshing to rediscover that core part of yourself you almost forgot was there
@yacineMTB You said it before, you just have to pretend. It's impossible to pretend because choosing to take action is agency. if you pretend to have more agency you do have more agency. so just pretend. anyone can do it
It's a point worth repeating. You have to remind yourself because it's not a problem you just 'solve'. It's more like an ongoing investigation or a constant dialogue with your body.
You feel like you solved it, have a great few days or week, and then get inflamed again. But really, as your body gets cleaner, it becomes more sensitive. Better at detecting what doesn't work. Your perception shifts because your baseline gets higher, but you're still leagues above where you started.
it's impossible to pretend to have more agency because choosing to take action is agency. if you pretend to have more agency you do more have agency. just pretend
@brainenergy4me Really excited to bring together people who are exploring this and/or just want to learn more.
After I fixed my gut health I felt like I was born again. Like I’m taking a life-changing drug. Night/day difference in mood, brain fog, focus, and energy.
See you guys in there!
My friend @collinpress just started a forum for people to share experiences with healing the mind by healing the gut. It could be a good resource and community if youre into dietary/gut experimentation—or a place to share what you’ve learned

Inflammation puts the body in defense mode. It's your body reacting to a perceived invader, allocating it's resources/energy inwards. When you're in this state, you're operating from a place of scarcity, not abundance.
When you're inflamed you have no energy left to see the world clearly, no energy to have better relationships, no energy to accomplish your goals. When you're not inflamed there's room for more. more ideas. more love. more wealth. When I'm not inflamed I feel like I show up to the world better, stronger. I have more vitality, I feel more deeply, I care about things more. I have more life.
