@learnteachtech 2/2 a lot of the categories but could be its own separate item. Thinking about building relationships always needs to be a foundation but I was not sure if that was considered an "instructional strategy". #CSP554
@learnteachtech Q12: 1/2 Marzano talks about this a little that is not a comprehensive list. So he leaves space for a lot but by nature of identifying 9, he is showing what he thinks rises to the top. I wonder where discovery learning would fall in the list. It feels like it bridges #CSP554
@learnteachtech A10: It is really hard to pick out just one as so many of them work in unison and together. This is even what Marzano says in his "Setting the Record Straight" article. But if I had to choose one, providing recognition can drive the ship to all the other options #CSP554
@learnteachtech 2/2 and I think the students have responded similarily. Some of that is probably me and still learning the system but some is that society is very results and grades driven. #CSP554
@learnteachtech A7: 1/2 I think time is super important on feedback. I always look to give things back within 24 hours. I also love self graded things because I watch students go back and try to find out what they did wrong. Amazing teaching tool. I have done some standards based #csp554
@learnteachtech A6: I like to use visabily random grouping and a lot of demonstrations of what quality groups look like. So lots of random number generators and things like that #CSP554
@learnteachtech A3: Big fan of positive emails home. I try to send at least 5 week in the first few weeks of school especially. I think it has totally changed whole years for students. #CSP554
@learnteachtech A2: Math is usually done with a writing utensil. So if the notes can be done digitally on a touchscreen, then I am all in on them. I get nervous about students taking notes on a chromebook or laptop style computer. Overall, love the search ability of digital notes #CSP554
@learnteachtech She came and did some PD at our school two years ago and it was amazing. 20 year veteran teachers saying that was the best PD they have ever had. So me as a 3rd year listened closely :) @saravdwerf
@dylan_eldridge_ I wonder about that too. I just started learning some coding a few weeks ago so I am super new, but I just find it so interesting that I wonder how I would have used that knowledge going forward
@nick_kurtz_ A6: Hard to choose just one thing but I would say 1:1 technology in general. The level of organization and access to information is amazing. I think it would have helped me find things faster with a search and be more interested in the topics I was learning about #CSP877
