oomf retweeted this and thank you because no one cares for sudan except us sudanese. most of my family has migrated to egypt to escape the war, but 1000s more died and are dying for this pointless war. makes me cry, i’m blessed my family was fortunate to escape.🙏🏽pray for us
@AlainoZonvolt kristophs failings as a villain more greatly affect the people around him, apollo and klavier especially have it rough. but besides that, as an endgame reveal? it's pretty weak. kristoph is just extremely interesting to me so it doesn't impact my enjoyment of his character
karma has a compelling connection with edgeworth as both a mentor and a father, shown through visuals and demeanor. we as nick don't have a personal history with karma because miles does and that's more than enough.
kristoph is apollos mentor. does that matter? no.
I don’t get why people criticize Kristoph for not having a detailed backstory and complex motive when Manfred von Karma was just an asshole who killed a guy because of his perfectionism and nobody seems to complain about that guy.
+ where both the defense and prosecution have personal stakes in the trials outcome. this is why the conversation kristoph and nick have in kristophs cell is so good. phoenix is sincere here, kristoph is so skilled at masking his true character, even nick cant read him
i say all this whilst still vastly preferring kristophs setup and character. mentoring our protagonist, endearing himself to our past protagonist, having an unsettling and unspoken influence over his brother, this could've all led up to a devastating final trial+
