Let’s get this straight! Southampton have admitted to breaking the rules 3 times (the rumour is they actually broke the rules on many more occasions). 2 of these related to league games for which they have been penalised with a 4 point penalty. The play-offs are a separate competition so a points deduction isn’t an option. The options were to fine them or remove them from the competition. An independent commission decided that a fine was not a suitable sanction in regard to a serious rule infringement & did the only thing they could & expelled them from the competition.
@kvlmason I'm interested to know as an outsider, what is the supports view of a season in the Championship (should it happen). Would it be embraced as a fresh start & an opportunity for supporters to visit new (to them) grounds?
No, a hot cross bun isn’t a teacake in disguise – but it’s basically its spiced-up, Easter-dressed cousin!
They’re both classic British yeasted sweet buns loaded with dried fruit (currants, sultanas, raisins), and they taste remarkably similar when toasted with butter. In fact, some bakers and foodies jokingly call teacakes “agnostic hot cross buns” because they’re the year-round, plainer version without the religious cross or heavy spices.

Thanks Kate, keep up the good work. It shouldn’t matter what sex you are but unfortunately it seems like it will take at least another generation before there is more acceptance & better treatment of women in sport. We are seeing so many great women finding their place but there is still from a huge number of people who will question why they have got there & come to conclusion that it isn’t about their talent as a journalist or broadcaster.
@loupepper It's the equestrian part of the modern pentathlon, Everyone brings a horse & you then draw them out of a hat! If it was me I would take a right old nag, knowing I wouldn't have to ride it!
