Adventure update for Tuesday, September 1 (Day 4):
On Tuesday, we came back down from the Sperry Chalet and explored Going to the Sun Road and the St. Mary’s Lake area.
The grand vistas of this place are mind-blowing. Waterfalls like Baring Falls and Sunrift Gorge are beautiful.

We wrapped up the day with a guided boat tour of St. Mary’s Lake before staying at the Rising Sun Motor Inn, a kitschy throwback to roadside motors on the early days of car travel.

Delayed adventure Update (Day 3 - due to limited internet access)
A thread:

Monday was a hiking day in @GlacierNPS. We hiked the Trail of the Cedars and Avalanche trails in the morning to a beautiful alpine Lake fed by multiple waterfalls in a gorgeous ampitheatre.

After lunch (and a nap), we hiked up into the mountains to the Sperry Chalet—a 1913 backcountry mountain lodge (which was rebuilt in 2017 after burning down in a forest fire)— which can only be reached by a 6.5-mile 3,500 for hike from Lake McDonald (the closest access point).

We did a few short hikes around the Apgar area, took a boat tour of Lake McDonald, and stayed at Lake McDonald Lodge.

Today, we rode one of the iconic/historic red buses of @GlacierNPS to a completely fogged-in Logan Pass (where we got a little wintery mix).

Today, we started an adventure trip to Glacier National Park. We explored the west side of Glacier: the Apgar area by Lake McDonald and the North Fork area around Polebridge and Lake Bowman.

Watched the Japan-Sweden World Cup match in person at AT&T Stadium with @SCollodi.

Last year, we began a landscape renovation home project and started with the hardscaping portion in the backyard. Over the past year we had a pergola and screens installed and built our own deck to create an outdoor living space, with amenities, of which we are very proud.
