@StephenMeltz @pietviljoen They are currently trying to force CID’s on a number of the Northern suburbs neighborhoods. Security and cleaning seem to be the top priorities, which seems like a double tax to me.
First they rob South Africans through taxes. Then by mismanagement of the economy and the Rand collapse. Now it’s a raid on our retirement savings. BTW most asset manager already hold 20%+ of government bonds. When is it enough? There is little left.
Thanks to Daily Maverick, we have some images of what is happening on the cattle vessel docked in Cape Town.
Animals are living in their own faeces. Having insufficient access to water and medical care. They are being transported to Iraq in the most cruel and deplorable conditions just so they can be slaughtered in accordance with their medieval religious practices.
This is completely unacceptable. We should be able to obtain a court injunction to stop the vessel from proceeding, remove the animals and have them humanely euthanized.
Where are our political leaders? Too busy eating their own body weight in food and counting their gold. 😡😡

Just to set the SONA record straight:
• Grant beneficiaries have ↑ from ±2.5 million people in 1994 to 27.3 million (Min. Zulu Oct’23). That’s 44% of SA’s population.
• 11.7 million people are unemployed.
• 6.76 million young people are unemployed. That’s a world record 53.1%
Cyril please stay away from Bafana Bafana. They’re doing it their way. And we’re all proud of them. We want to support them without you trying to politicise their success. Stay home and fix the potholes.
Thank you Time Out and @CNN for listing Cape Town as the second best city in the world, after New York! We love to see Cape Town getting the global love it deserves 🔥🌍🇿🇦
When more people come to visit, it means more good hospitality jobs in Cape Town! That’s why attention like this is much appreciated 🙏😄🌄

A government that is incapable of regulating or controlling the flood of illegal immigrants across our borders, but goes out of its way to make life as difficult as possible for visitors who bring money and create jobs. Go figure. https://t.co/cJvEM9CNKe
