@sola_chad Those are all examples of God choosing someone to do a work for him. NOT choosing them for salvation. God chooses people do do his will, even pagan kings. But they were not chosen specifically for salvation.
@Joel7Richardson Furthermore, israel is all over end times eschatology. They will be present for end times events. If those there now are not israel, then you believe the current residents will be supplanted and replaced in the same land by other "actual" jews.
@Apostle_David Even if his wrath isn't until the last day of the 7 years, if we are still here then we still experience his wrath! Even if its a small part. We can not be here for any of it. I agree completely about the difference in wrath and tribulation. We agree on that point.
@Apostle_David Except in revelation 6 they literally say they want to be hidden from the wrath of the lamb. The sixth seal is clearly the wrath of the lamb. So now you have to make the case that the 6th seal is God's wrath but not the other seals.
@Apostle_David We experience tribulations now. The Great Tribulation is God's wrath. The second Jesus opens the first seal it is God's wrath. So, if we're in the 7 year trib we experience God's wrath. It is poured out on the whole world.
@TNTJohn1717 Is the one taken one left passage hinting at the rapture? I know Paul calls it a mystery, but is it hinted in type before Paul? And are they taken in judgment, or taken to be saved from God's wrath?
@TNTJohn1717 The passages clearly say that the Lord will defend Israel from all the nations attacking it. The catholic church had to allegorize this because they wanted power in all the nations. They can't have Christ coming against them. That is why catholic "tradition" is meaningless.
@Exodus15_11 Exactly. And what would keep him from redefining his promises again?! Maybe he could decide the church isn't faithful enough anymore and so he'll take the promises and create a new group of people to give them to.
@soothkeep I dont know why people say its not in scripture. This presupposes that everything God does is clearly laid out in scripture. God doesn't tell us every detail of everything he does. No one knew about 2000 years between his comings. But here we are.
@WalkerWildmon Great example of how to handle an aggressive interviewer. He kept calm and composed and laid down fact after fact. He never fell for tuckers traps. Mike flat out, out witted tucker.
@MattWalshBlog Does this extend to individuals? If you're not stronger than another person, or able to defend yourself, then someone bigger and stronger can kill you? You dont have a right to exist? Interesting we have the opposite claim for the pre born.
@Joel7Richardson Not a single jew in Jesus's time believed that the messiah was going to have two comings. Even the most studious pharisee believed in one coming of the messiah. Its very possible even our best scholars now don't fully grasp his second coming.
